Do your knees feel completely fine while walking on flat ground, but start hurting the moment you climb stairs?
You might be experiencing Chondromalacia Patellae!
Here is what happens inside your knee:
The Cause: When walking, pressure behind your kneecap is relatively low. Climbing stairs significantly increases this load, leading to irritation and wear of the cartilage behind your kneecap (patella).
Contributing Factors: Weak thigh muscles (quadriceps) and weak glute muscles are common culprits.
The Pain Paradox: Many people stop exercising due to pain, but this actually weakens the muscles further and makes the discomfort worse!
