Iron absorption isn’t just about intake - it’s about how digestion unlocks it.

Traditional formulations like Punarnavayolepa Choornam show that 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. Long used in managing Iron Deficiency Anemia, recent in vitro digestion studies suggest increased iron release after digestion.

This reflects a key Ayurvedic principle: 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

The Ashtavaidya system integrates digestion (Agni) into formulation science—offering a deeper, time-tested approach now gaining scientific validation.

Obesity is more than excess weight—it is closely linked to diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and poor metabolic health.
In Ayurveda, this condition is described as Sthoulyam. One classical formulation from Vaidyaratnam mentioned in Sthoulya Chikitsa is 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦 (𝐘𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐡𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦), 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 (𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠), 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐚 (𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚 (𝐟𝐚𝐭-𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠) 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.

What makes it remarkable is that modern evidence is beginning to support this classical wisdom.
Clinical and preclinical studies have shown improvements in:

• 𝐁𝐌𝐈
• 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐭–𝐇𝐢𝐩 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨
• 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞
• 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬

This is where traditional knowledge meets scientific validation.
Ancient formulations deserve modern research because sometimes, the future of healthcare begins by revisiting the past.

What if the answer to today’s rising stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, and cognitive decline was already hidden in a classical Ayurvedic formulation designed generations ago?

Stress and anxiety are silently affecting mental clarity, sleep, and peace of mind, often leading to chronic diseases and cognitive decline.
Can Ayurveda offer a meaningful solution?

The answer may lie in 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦, an Ashtavaidya formulation designed by the Ashtavaidyas of Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala. Prepared from different parts of 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐚 (𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐮𝐬), it is rich in bioactive compounds like flavonoids, polyphenols, rutin, quercetin, gallic acid, and chlorogenic acid, known for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and brain-protective actions. Modern studies also show lotus extracts helping reduce depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances by improving neural plasticity and enhancing GABA activity in the brain.

At 𝐕𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐲𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 (𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐈), our team explored Pancharavinda Choornam using network pharmacology and antioxidant studies. Key molecular targets such as 𝐓𝐀𝐔, 𝐀𝐏𝐏, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐀𝐎𝐀 were identified—strongly linked to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and neurodegenerative disorders. Significant free radical scavenging activity also highlighted its neuroprotective potential.

From stress and anxiety to cognitive decline and neurodegeneration, Pancharavinda Choornam shows how classical Ayurvedic wisdom can meet modern scientific validation.

Sometimes, innovation is not discovering something new—but understanding ancient knowledge in a better way.
