Alarplasty by Dr . Our Maxillo Facial Surgery consultant. Certain selective case can be managed by alarplasty alone. Specially the nose which have in general good nose shape, good nose bridge with a wide alar flare. Alarplasty is best done to reduce the nasal flare. For alarplasty one has to have a proper consult and check up before assessing if it will be helpful. Nose that lack proper tip projection with wide nasal bone width are generally poor candidates for alarplasty alone, in those types of noses, it’s best to proceed with a proper rhinoplasty. But nose with good nasal bone width, good or adequate tip projection and tip shape having flared nasal ala, can be improved by alarplasty alone
