A mio marito.
Perché l'amore non smetta mai di essere una scoperta.

SPOGLIAMI
Spogliami lentamente,
ma non nel corpo,
fallo nella mente.
Allora, forse,
anche il mio cuore
si metterà a n**o.
Il corpo sarà l'ultimo,
non si concede facilmente.
Prima devi aver conquistato i suoi due guardiani:
il cuore e la mente.
Guardami negli occhi
e sciogli quel ghiaccio,
corteggiami,
scrivimi parole d'amore
e quando mi sfiorerai
fingi che sia un caso.
Allora sì,
brividi mi attraverseranno.
E oltre quel ghiaccio
sentirai ardere il fuoco.
Sii paziente,
non correre,
assapora l'attesa.
E allora,
quando le nostre menti
si saranno spogliate,
quando il cuore mi martellerà in petto,
quando le gambe tremeranno alla tua vista
e quando mi sentirò al sicuro,
solo allora
sarò tua.
E a nessun altro donerò
quel corpo,
quel cuore,
quella mente
e quell'anima.

There are poems that are born while we are still suspended between sleep and wakefulness.
"Undress Me" was born this way.
The first verses came to me in that half-dreaming state, almost without asking permission. When I woke up, I tried to hold on to them, to give them shape.
Then I tucked this poem away in a drawer.
Not because it didn't feel like mine, but perhaps precisely because it felt so deeply personal.
I hesitated to share it out of modesty, because of that subtle feeling of exposing oneself when we allow words to reveal something of who we are.
Today, I've decided to let it go.
Because, deep down, Undress Me isn't just about desire.
It's about trust.
About anticipation.
About the need to feel safe before allowing ourselves to surrender.

UNDRESS ME
Undress me slowly,
but not my body,
undress my mind.
Then, perhaps,
my heart too
will lay itself bare.
My body will be the last,
it does not surrender easily.
First, you must win over its two guardians:
the heart and the mind.
Look into my eyes
and melt that ice,
court me,
write me words of love,
and when you brush against me,
pretend it was by chance.
Then, yes,
shivers will run through me.
And beyond that ice,
you will feel the fire burning.
Be patient,
do not rush,
savour the anticipation.
And then,
when our minds
have undressed,
when my heart pounds in my chest,
when my legs tremble at the sight of you
and when I feel safe,
only then
will I be yours.
And to no one else will I give
that body,
that heart,
that mind
and that soul.
