Earlier this week, we took time to stop and smell the roses.

One of our favorite annual traditions is visiting the beautiful Rose Garden at Colonial Park. Residents enjoyed a leisurely morning stroll while taking in the sights, scents, and colors of more than 240 varieties of roses in bloom.

It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy nature, share conversation with friends, and appreciate the simple beauty that surrounds us. Days like these remind us that some of life’s most meaningful moments are found in the little things.

Meet Gretel, one of our newer residents at Brandywine Princeton by Monarch!

Gretel has always had a passion for the outdoors. At home, she maintained a beautiful garden, and she has brought that same love of nature to our community.

You’ll often find her helping to beautify our patio spaces by planting seasonal flowers, tending to our garden beds, and checking on our growing tomato plants. From watering and weeding to nurturing new blooms, Gretel takes great pride in helping our gardens flourish.

Here she is doing what she loves most—connecting with nature and helping make our community even more beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

In recognition of Pride Month, our residents at Brandywine Princeton by Monarch spent the morning creating these colorful LOVE shirts, carefully choosing colors and adding their own unique touches to make each one special.

Just like the individuals who created them, no two shirts are exactly alike. This meaningful program celebrated kindness, respect, friendship, acceptance, and inclusion values that help make our community such a welcoming place for everyone.

🌱 The garden at Brandywine Princeton by Monarch is thriving!

Residents have been busy watering, tending, and caring for our community garden, and the results are exciting to see. Tomatoes are growing tall, cucumbers are flourishing, herbs are thriving, and our zucchini plants are already producing beautiful blossoms.

In the coming weeks, residents will enjoy harvesting fresh produce that will be incorporated into homemade dishes prepared within our community. We’re also proud to share that a portion of the harvest will be donated to a local food pantry, extending the impact of this meaningful program beyond our walls.

Gardening provides opportunities for purpose, connection, wellness, and giving back—making it one of the many ways residents continue to enrich both their own lives and the lives of others.

Greetings from Asbury Park
Today, residents of Brandywine Princeton by Monarch enjoyed a wonderful day at Asbury Park Beach!

With temperatures in the high 70s, a gentle ocean breeze, and the water beginning to warm up for summer, it was the perfect day to spend time at the Jersey Shore. Residents soaked up the sunshine, dipped their feet in the waves, collected seashells, enjoyed lunch by the beach, and simply took in the beauty of a perfect day along the ocean.

Please join us in welcoming Ciara Mallari as the new Director of Wellness at Brandywine Princeton by Monarch!

Ciara brings 13 years of healthcare experience and has advanced through the nursing profession, from CNA to LPN to RN. Her extensive clinical background includes critical care, sub-acute care, community health, and assisted living, along with leadership experience as a Unit Manager, Infection Preventionist, and Assistant Director of Nursing.

As she steps into her first Director of Wellness role, Ciara is focused on delivering safe, exceptional care, building meaningful connections within the community, and fostering an environment that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Her dedication, compassion, and leadership make her a valuable addition to the Brandywine Princeton team.
