Thanks so much to everyone who joined us for our wonderful BBQ celebration! It was a joy to see residents from Beaumont Villa and L'Hermitage enjoying the sunshine with their families and friends☀️

Thanks also to the wonderful Liz who serenaded us with a medley of rock and roll and classic country songs.

A carer is so many things that there is not enough room to write them.

From the complicated medical things to the simple fun things.

For us its not just the caring its the sharing and what's better than sharing a smile and laughter. Even if you just lost at connect 4 😉

We have to admit when it comes to our gardens we always try our best to make an effort. Beaumont Villa they always go the extra mile though. These colours are pretty spectacular. What do you think?

Alan the "Mersey Bean" popped in the other day and entertained everyone. His hybrid Jersey based lyrics for old favourites have to be heard to be appreciated. Definitely a reason he is always welcome. See you soon Alan. A la prechaine 😁

Yesterday the legend that is Saxophone Sam 🎷 was back at L'Hermitage. He never fails to make an impression and with his constantly updated repertoire he always keeps everybody's toes tapping. Sam your a legend thank you.

Oooh they are a crafty lot at Beaumont Villa.

But in the nicest possible way that is 😁

When there is a chance for a bit of Arts and Crafts they are straight in there. Quite an eye for detail especially when all our lovely free 🌷flowers🌻 from Waitrose come out. 🤔i wonder what else we could get them to make....

Here in Jersey May the 9th means more to us than most.

Liberation Day was exactly that 81 years ago when the Channel Islands were free once more from the occupation of the German forces.

For many of our residents they lived through these times, and still remember the hardships endured and the tales of those less fortunate who are not here today.

We will be honouring all of those souls today. A glass will be raised and we will reflect on how lucky we are to have our freedom in our beautiful island.
