Even though baby teeth eventually fall out, keeping them healthy and cavity-free is so important. Healthy baby teeth help children chew, speak clearly, hold space for their permanent teeth, and build good oral hygiene habits that can last a lifetime!

One of our favorite things is seeing our patients proudly write their names on our Cavity Free Wall! 🎉 Every name represents healthy habits, great brushing, and a reason to celebrate!

Keep brushing twice a day, flossing and visiting us regularly for checkups. We can’t wait to see more names added to the wall! 🪥🦷💙

Yesterday we celebrated Mason’s 18th birthday!!! 🎂

He has been working with us for two summers doing sterilization, chair turnover and insurance. We sure will miss him as he begins his new adventure at University of Tennessee this fall! GBO 🍑

Way to go, Lawson! We love seeing our patients take charge of their smiles by practicing great brushing habits at home. 😁

Did you know that even when kids are brushing on their own, it’s important for a parent or caregiver to do a quick “follow-behind” brush? Young children often don’t have the dexterity needed to remove all the plaque and food hiding around their teeth and gums.

⭐ SMPD Tip: Parents should assist or closely supervise brushing until around age 7-8, when children have the coordination to brush effectively on their own.

A few extra minutes each day can help prevent cavities and keep those smiles healthy and bright! 🌟
