FEAR : It’s held me back from these beautiful waters here in Okinawa
I LOVE the water, I LOVE being in the water, but I don’t love all of the things in **this** water (many more things here than the Atlantic Ocean 😂)
My girls and husband want to snorkel and explore and I’m the one holding them back.... but not because I’m done succumbing to the fear of what if (because it’s mostly irrational)
So yesterday I put on my big girl pants and adventured off with a great group of ladies and got in the dang water to snorkel and it was amazing 🤩
So many beautiful fishies!!! Stunning colors, small, big, in between, and guess what.... but one of them cared about me 😂. Many thanks to these ladies for pushing me out of my comfort zone and to my girl Trish (Patricia) for her extreme patience with me last year.
Onwards !! Grabbing my own gear today, and signing up for scuba lessons. So many amazing things to see on our last year on Okinawa. I’m so excited to say yes to my girls this summer when they want to snorkel 🤿 (they really are the most amazing teachers 💕).

Ps. Looking forward to Saturday morning dive dates with my guy ❤️

To my girls, thank you for making me a mom, for being in my corner always and being my greatest teachers - I learn so much from you on the daily & im so thankful.
I love you both so much and look forward to our future adventures together 🥰

Happiest of birthdays 🥳 to our Emma !!
We blinked and you turned 9. We are so proud of the young lady you are becoming. You’re so thoughtful and caring, daring and adventurous but also love reading, all things hair, make up, fashion and we can’t forget to mention dance 💃🏼
May this 9th year be an incredible turn around the sun for you filled with many more books, lots of family and friends adventures in Okinawa (and hopefully beyond), learning, and just more time spent with you. 💕

💕3 great ladies, 1 fabulous facilitator, and a school day later we all learned something (many things!) new and left with smiles !

Adventure days are the best days !
So much fun celebrating my girl Sally’s birthday today with some zip lining and poke !
I have a confession ....I ziplined last week too🙊! Slowly, but surely I’m going to conquer my fear of heights !!
So thankful to live on this beautiful island 🏝 ....where people vacation!!! Seeing it through fresh eyes 👀 is incredible. Just look at that water.

My girls :“Mom!! Can we just swim in our clothes ?”
Me: “We don’t have towels or a change of clothes ..”
My girls : “that’s okay ! “
Me : 😳 “ok” 😂 Go for it (meanwhile wondering what am I thinking )
We had a really fun day off from school. We started with smoothie bowls from happybowls.oki, and their amazing loaded toasts for breakfast on the beach 🏝
Moved down the way to the newly reconstructed pirate 🏴‍☠️ ship park & unexpectedly ran into so many friends
Ended the park day by cooling off with the aforementioned swim in their clothes & ended the afternoon with an awesome ice cream drop by the USO for Purple Up Day
Pretty sweet day, especially when it looked like it might rain ☔️

Happy Easter !
It’s Easter Monday already here in Okinawa, but I’m working on North American time 😂
Our girls enjoyed egg hunts on land and in the pool, and one more cool day in Okinawa.
We had my mom’s traditional Easter dinner of ham and scalloped potatoes (I tried a new recipe, sorry mom, it’s back to yours next year!). We are all feeling very blessed to safe and sound.
We hope you all had a blessed weekend with your loved ones.

🤩It all started with a question ...... “What do you think? Feel like running for some swag?”...just 10 miles 😂
That was it ! Turns out I’m not the only one with a crazy bone and I love it !!
So happy to be joined by some “Lady Dragons” and running partners from the Old Lester “hood”
Thanks for running 10 with me ladies!! The miles, the conversations and the memories made were fantastic!!
What are we doing next ? 🙏🏻

"To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die" ..
How fitting for my beloved great uncle who I always felt was immortal. He has always been there, since before I was born, through my school age years, university, when I met "the one", walked me down the aisle to marry "the one", had children and brought our beautiful girls home to meet him
How blessed our family (and friends alike) are to have had this incredible man in our lives for so long. Uncle Gerald left this world peacefully, yesterday, with loving family at his side at 98 years young.
He will be forever remembered for his quick wit and humor, his love of his family, devotion to his favorite walking partner Maggie, his loyalty to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and for his generosity, care, and kindness amongst many others.
We'll miss you terribly, but take heart knowing you and Dad are already sharing a butter tart, catching up, and talking hockey.
