Intraoral periapical (IOPA) radiography is a type of imaging that involves taking a radiograph (xray) of the teeth and surrounding structures within the mouth.
IOPA is used to help diagnose and treat various oral health issues including tooth decay, gum disease ,dental trauma and also oral cancer! (IOPA can identify abnormal growths or lesions in the mouth)
