Life has a way of stripping you down until you finally see clearly. It teaches you that effort without reciprocity is self-betrayal, that love without respect is just emotional noise, and that access to you is a privilege not a right.
I learned the hard way that not everyone who laughs with you wishes you well. Some stay close to study you, some to benefit from you, and some to drain you. When you stop over-giving, they call you changed. Truth is, you just woke up.
Silence became my language because explaining myself only fed egos that were never interested in understanding me. I stopped chasing closure, stopped begging for consistency, and stopped shrinking to make others comfortable. Peace demanded boundaries, and boundaries demanded courage. Losing people didn’t break me it introduced me to myself. I realized that loneliness with self-respect is better than company that disrespects you. If choosing myself makes me look selfish, then so be it. I’m no longer available for confusion, half-effort, or emotional charity.
Growth hurts, but staying small hurts more. And this time, I choose growth no apologies.HAPPYNEWYEAR
