Today, Riziki resource engaged employers on the importance of creating inclusive employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. The meeting highlighted the need to challenge stigma and misconceptions around disability and promote workplaces where persons with disabilities can contribute their skills, talents and abilities.

The engagement aligns with NeuroRoots CBO’s mandate of promoting mental health, inclusion, empowerment and the rights of vulnerable and marginalized populations. By advocating for meaningful employment opportunities, NeuroRoots contributes to economic empowerment, dignity, independence and improved psychosocial well-being of persons with disabilities, while encouraging employers to build more inclusive communities and workplaces.

NeuroRoots CBO was honoured to participate in the Mental Health Financing Advocacy Coalition Progress Review Meeting convened by Heraf Kenya

As coalition members came together to review progress, strengthen partnerships, and identify priority actions for sustainable mental health financing, we were reminded that children must not be left behind in these conversations.

Far too many children living with neurodevelopmental conditions such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD continue to face barriers to early identification, support, and inclusive education due to limited investment in child mental health services.

At NeuroRoots, we remain dedicated to advocating for policies and financing that prioritise children's mental health, promote early intervention, empower families and teachers, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Together, through stronger partnerships and collective advocacy, we can build a future where mental health financing includes every child.

If your child is sent home from school and is required to go for counselling session then report back with report from the therapist, kindly take that child for that session immediately.

Do not keep the child at home for a whole 4 weeks then rush for that 1hr session and plead for a report. Those sessions might not be important to you thats why you'd just do it for the sake of getting the report to present to school so that your child can be accepted back.

Whether the suspension was fair or not, there is a reason why your child was sent home, the truth will come out from those sessions. You could save your child from being bullied or from doing the unthinkable.
