Our recent HR-led staff meeting intentionally put mental health front and center, carving out space for honest conversations that too often get brushed aside; when mental well-being is overlooked, everything else eventually feels the strain.

Prioritizing mental health is not an easy issue. It directly affects how teams show up, collaborate, lead and deliver care and service. Building awareness, encouraging openness, and normalizing support systems are what create stronger, more resilient workplaces.

The session also walked the team through our upcoming Bikathon, a collective effort to raise funds for programs that continue to transform lives in our community. It starts with how we care for our own then we extend outward.

A workplace that cares for each other, performs better! And a team that feels seen, goes further!

We had the pleasure of hosting 4th Year Medical Laboratory students from MMUST - Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (Official) for a hands-on experience in our ISO-certified laboratory. The students received in-depth knowledge especially in areas such as microbiology guided by our team of laboratory professionals.

Experiences like these help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real practice and we are glad to play a part in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

A productive meeting was held with the team from Reachout Centre Trust, a non-profit providing prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services for people affected by substance use disorders and HIV.

The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration in patient care, particularly for clients accessing services across both facilities, to ensure more coordinated and continuous support.

We also made progress toward establishing a formal collaboration framework and a shared data approach to improve follow-up and service delivery.

This five-month exercise, implemented by a dedicated team of 24 digitization clerks, is aligned with the institution’s digitization agenda of transitioning to a paperless system—enhancing efficiency, improving record accessibility, and reducing reliance on physical storage.
