In his closing remarks, the PS for Youth Affairs, creative economy, and sports, Hon Fikirini Jacobs delivered a powerful message: Africaโs youth are not a challenge to manage, but a resource to invest in. With the majority of Kenyaโs population under 35, the realization of the SDGs depends on how effectively young people are engaged, not as participants, but as co-creators and decision-makers.
The work doesnโt end here. The Youth Declaration will be presented. The IGAD Youth Forum for Peace will create new spaces for engagement. And the momentum must continue beyond this week.
The clock is ticking, the responsibility is shared, and the time is now.
