Dear fellow Christians,

What really is Christmas?
Is it the season when you firmly refuse to attend to your clients—because you are taking a break, returning home?
A home where parents cook, eat, and sleep together.
A place of memory. Of belonging.
As we turn toward 2026, remember this:
the government provides the money your clients use to pay you.

And yet they complain that your business is “too expensive”—
not realizing it is no longer priced in shillings, but in survival.
Think again.

You actually reduced your prices.
You offered free services—and still, they complained.

Your classmates and friends in similar businesses have closed.
Now the Minister for Health says only public hospitals—once free—should charge, or have SHA,
and be the last option for the so-called common mwananchi.

And yet…
In 2027, you are asked for facial data,
handing over even more authority
over your identity, your privacy, your existence.

To others, Christmas is simply this:
the place where they grew up—
now being quietly robbed through the same give-and-take system.

That same place your county and country now demand you pay a fee just to continue calling yours.

As though ownership itself
has not already been turned into a large enough scam.

All in all, birds chirp, advisers talk, doctors treat, politicians lie and believers believe.

This Mashujaa Day, we honor not only the heroes of our nation’s past, but also the everyday heroes who continue to serve, heal, and uplift our communities — even in moments of loss. At KEDOC Medical Services Ltd, we remember that true heroism lives in compassion, sacrifice, and the courage to keep moving forward.

It feels as though our ancestors looked upon our land and gently tapped Raila’s shoulder, whispering, ‘It’s Mashujaa time — we have to go.’
A reminder that even our greatest heroes are called home when their legacy is complete.

May we find strength in unity, hope in remembrance, and purpose in service.
