On 27th and 28th May 2026, Rachuonyo Clinical Trial Centre (RCTC) successfully hosted its first Quality Oversight Visit conducted by the CRM/CCQM team from MSD for the MK-8527 Phase III study evaluating the once-monthly HIV PrEP pill.

This marked an important milestone for our site as the MK-8527 study is the first clinical trial being conducted at RCTC. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for learning, mentorship, and strengthening our research processes to ensure the highest standards of quality in clinical trial conduct.

We are grateful to the MSD CRM/CCQM team for their guidance, support, and constructive engagement throughout the visit. The experience has greatly enhanced our capacity and confidence as we continue contributing to innovative HIV prevention research.

We are grateful to our dedicated study team and to the participants who have taken this important step toward advancing medical research. πŸ’™
