Based on a large-scale, 20-year longitudinal study from Finland (the KIHD study), regular sauna bathing—specifically, sessions lasting more than 19 minutes at a temperature around 77°C–80°C (174°F–176°F)—is strongly associated with significantly reduced mortality, particularly from cardiovascular diseases.
