381 County Employees Get Converted from Contract to PnP

Our Support Staff and Enforcement Officers are among hundreds of County Employees who transitioned from Contract to Permanent and Pensionable (PnP) terms under the administration of Andrew Mwadime Wakujaa.

This milestone reflects the County Government’s commitment to restoring dignity, job security, and motivation among employees who have served diligently for years under difficult and uncertain contractual terms.

The conversion to Permanent and Pensionable terms is not only the fulfillment of a long-awaited dream for many workers, but also a major boost to service delivery across departments. Employees can now work with renewed morale, stability, and confidence, knowing that their dedication and hard work are recognized and protected by the County Government.

Last year, the County Government converted 493 employees from contract terms to Permanent and Pensionable and promoted 1,656 employees, some of whom had served the County since the inception of devolution without promotion despite being eligible for career progression.

This administration continues to prioritize the welfare of workers through promotions, improved working conditions, and fair human resource practices aimed at building a professional, efficient, and people-centered public service. The transformation being witnessed within the County workforce is a clear indication of leadership that values employees as key partners in development.

New Washrooms at Moi County Referral Hospital - Voi

Final paintworks are currently ongoing, alongside plumbing and electrical installations. The project is in its final stages, with key fittings and finishes being completed.

The new washroom facilities are being developed in strict adherence to public health guidelines, including proper sanitation standards, adequate water supply systems, effective drainage, and safe electrical installations. The design also incorporates measures to promote hygiene, accessibility for all users, and infection prevention and control in line with health facility regulations.

Importantly, the facility will include a dedicated washroom specifically designed for Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs), ensuring inclusivity, ease of access, and dignity for all users.

Once complete, the facilities will significantly enhance cleanliness, patient comfort, and overall service delivery within the hospital.
