SYPHILIS INFECTIONS TREATMENT
Syphilis is an STD caused by a bacterium called Treponema palliduium.It’s known as the ‘great imitator’ because its symptoms are hard to distinguish from other STDs.It is a bacterial infection usually spread by sexual contact.The disease starts as a painless sore typically on your ge****ls,rectum or mouth.Syphilis spreads from person to person via skin or mucous membrane contact with these sores and can remain inactive (dormant) in your body for decades before becoming active again.Without treatment,syphilis can severely damage your heart,brain or other organs and can be life-threatening.It can also be passed from mothers to unborn children.It develops in stages which are:Primary syphilis(the first sign is a small sore),Secondary syphilis(you may experience a rash that begins on your trunk but eventually covers your entire body),Latent syphilis(hidden (latent) stage,when you have no symptoms),Tertiary syphilis(In the late stage,the disease may damage your brain,nerves,eyes,heart,blood vessels,liver,bones and joints),Neurosyphilis(cause damage to the brain and nervous system) and Congenital syphilis(acquired by the fetus in the uterus before birth).The first signs of syphilis show up within three months of infection.In general,both women and men develop one or more painless ulcers on their ge****ls and they heal within three to six weeks without treatment.Without treatment,it will progress to a secondary stage.In women,sores can appear on the vulva,cervix, a**s or mouth.In men,sores can appear on the pen*s,a**s or mouth.If you suspect that you might be having this infection visit us for checkup and full treatment.Book an appointment through.
