๐จ FRACTURED LEG โ DON'T MAKE IT WORSE ๐ฆด๐จ
A broken leg can cause severe pain, bleeding, and further damage if handled incorrectly.
โ ๏ธ Signs of a fractured leg:
๐ฆด Severe pain
๐ฆต Swelling or bruising
๐ Deformity or abnormal position
๐ซ Difficulty or inability to walk
๐ Tenderness at the injury site
โฑ๏ธ What to do immediately:
โ๏ธ Ensure scene safety
โ๏ธ Keep the injured leg still
โ๏ธ Support and immobilize the leg in the position found
โ๏ธ Apply a cold pack wrapped in cloth to reduce swelling
โ๏ธ Seek medical help immediately
๐จ If trained:
โ๏ธ Use a splint to immobilize the joints above and below the fracture
๐ซ DO NOT:
โ Try to straighten the leg
โ Move the person unnecessarily
โ Allow the injured person to walk on the leg
๐ก Immobilization reduces pain and helps prevent further injury.
