Upcoming June Events 🌿
Looking for a moment to slow down and check in with yourself? I’m hosting two focused group sessions this month. Here is what is coming up:

🧘‍♀️ Sunday, June 14th | 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Sound Meditation: Stress Relief & Inner Connection
A space to decompress and reconnect with your actual wants and needs. We will focus on physical and mental regulation using sound, incorporating oracle cards for guidance, and wrapping up with optional journaling at the end.

🤎 Sunday, June 21st | 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Cacao, Yin Yoga (Earth Element) & Sound Bath
While June usually marks the Summer Solstice, that shift feels a bit different close to the equator. Instead, we are tuning into the Daoist calendar, which places us in the Late Summer season, a time deeply connected to the Earth element, grounding, and centering.

We will share cacao and drink it as we practice Yin for more home vibe. Sound instruments will play throughout the movement and during a long final rest, allowing you to simply settle in and receive.

📥 Spaces are limited. Message me directly to save your spot or if you have any questions. You can also join our telegram group for bookings and updates: t.me/yoga_sound_ttp

Thanks,
Myrto

Cacao, Journaling & Sound Meditation

Sometimes, the most supportive way to clear your head is to sit quietly in a room with others, without any expectation to interact. If you want to experience the benefits of cacao and sound meditation, but feel more comfortable skipping introductions, small talk, or speaking about your feelings with a group, this session is designed for you.
Your time here is entirely your own to turn inward.

How the session works:
The Start: We open with a short cacao prayer to settle into the room.

Cacao & Journaling: You receive a cup of warm ceremonial cacao and a sheet of pre-written journaling questions. You take your time to drink and write at your own pace while I play live sound instruments.

Rest & The Journey: Whenever you finish writing, you simply lie down on your mat to rest. This is where the cacao begins to work, bringing warmth to the body. As you listen to the sound meditation, it creates space for internal guidance, memories, or insights to naturally surface

Reflection & Close: After the sound session, you will have some optional free-writing time to jot down any final thoughts or memories. We will finish together with a short, collective hum.
You can simply show up, focus on your own practice, and leave when we are done.
🗓 Date: 24th May
⏰ Time: 2-4pm
📍 Location: st 456, TTP

Hello friends,
May and June in Phnom Penh often carry a specific energy of change. Whether you are navigating external shifts like relocating, saying goodbye to friends, or changing your career, or experiencing an internal "shedding of skin" where old stories and patterns no longer fit, these sessions are designed to help you navigate the transition with clarity.

1. Sound Meditation: Finding Your Steady Point 🥣
This session focuses on practical stress management tools. We will use sound and body awareness to help you find an internal "steady point," a somatic anchor to help you stay settled even when your environment is changing.

The Experience: A focused practice in nervous system regulation and stress relief.

Date: Sunday, 17th May | 2-4 PM
Ticket: $30

2. Cacao, Journaling & Sound: Honoring the Transition ☕✍️🥣
Every transition is a threshold. This session provides the space to acknowledge the version of yourself you are leaving behind and the one that is emerging.

As you engage with guided reflections, specific sound frequencies will support your focus, keeping you connected to your body rather than just your thoughts. After journaling, you will transition into a deep sound immersion, a space to quiet the external noise and listen to the insights and guidance of your True Self.

The Experience: A process of reflection with Cacao Medicine and sound immersion to find clarity and explore your next steps.

Date: Sunday, 24th May | 2-4 PM
Ticket: $35

You are welcome to attend either session individually, though they are designed to be complementary. Week 1 focuses on the foundations of grounding, while Week 2 brings that grounded presence into your personal inquiry and inner exploration.

We are exploring this two part format this month to see how it supports the collective and individual shifts we are all experiencing.

What to bring: Water bottle, journal, and pen.

How to join:
Space is limited for both sessions to keep the container personal. Please send a direct message to reserve your spot or to ask any questions about the sessions.

Stress is something most of us experience, but we are not always taught how to regulate it.

This sound meditation is part of an ongoing exploration of practical tools that support stress regulation and nervous system balance.

Before receiving the sounds, we gently prepare the body through simple practices that help release tension and allow the mind to settle. From there, the sounds support the body in moving more deeply into rest.

For many people, the experience feels calming and grounding. At times, emotions, memories, or restlessness may also arise. There is space to be with whatever comes up and time to reflect on your experience.

The intention is not only to rest during the session, but also to become more familiar with tools that can support you in everyday life.

The Lower Back Wellness workshop led by Helena Yan, which we hosted earlier today, just finished, and I wanted to share a few reflections.

One of the key reminders from the workshop is that many people believe they should avoid movement when experiencing lower back pain. In reality, appropriate exercise is often one of the most important parts of recovery. Joseph Pilates captured this idea beautifully when he said, “You are as young as your spine.”

After attending more than 800 hours of movement trainings over the years, I can honestly say that Helena Yan’s workshops are always among the clearest and most practical I have experienced.

Helena explained what is often happening in the spine when lower back pain appears, including topics like disc herniation and pain mechanisms, in a way that was clear and accessible. The workshop combined visual presentation, notes, and discussion, helping participants better understand how the spine functions and how pain can be influenced by multiple factors.

What I appreciated most was the practical part. Helena guided us through a full Pilates-based class organized in three stages of exercises for working with lower back pain. The stages reflect different levels of pain and capacity, helping practitioners understand how to introduce the right movements and progressively support recovery.

This approach helps remove the fear around movement and shows how the spine can gradually regain strength and confidence.

Another aspect I appreciated is that Helena’s PCC coaching background was present throughout the workshop. She created space for reflection, inviting participants to pause, identify their own takeaways, and think about how they might apply what they learned in their practice or daily life.

Many of the ideas presented also reflect what current research suggests: movement-based approaches, including methods like Pilates, can help improve pain and function for people experiencing lower back pain.

Workshops like this are valuable for anyone experiencing lower back pain who wants to better understand what is happening in their body and how they can support their recovery, as well as for movement professionals.

Thank you Helena for sharing your knowledge so generously.

Helena will be returning to the studio on the 29th to offer a workshop on menopause, another topic that deserves more open discussion and understanding.
