Dear family, friends, colleagues, students, former students, and all supporters of differently-abled persons,

Imagine that in January 2026, Ade, my son, would have been 40 years of age.

To give thanks and to mark this milestone, we are launching,
THE ADE CHADERTON FOUNDATION to:

(i) strengthen the financial support for ADE’S PLACE.
(ii) be able to offer financial support to differently abled adults across the Caribbean.

As some of you know Ade was the love of my life. I have shared his life in the book, “The Boy With No Hands” which I published about a year ago.

At ADE’S PLACE we honour his memory by providing training in independent basic life skills for adults with disabilities. Last year 2025, was 20 years since ADE’S PLACE was opened. We have delivered the following services-
i)feeding iv)exercise
ii)cooking v)art and craft
iii)washing the dishes vi)outdoor activities

to over 50 trainee clients.

Our trainee clients have competed in the Special Olympics in track and field and swimming events, and have won over 25 medals. Our graduates have also been employed in daycare nurseries, senior homes and similar service facilities such as at the airport.

We would like to upgrade the services offered and have a recognised programme of education and development introduced.
