I’m going to scream the next time I hear, “but she was such a loving and doting mother.”
Loving and doting mothers are still susceptible to the insidious condition that is postpartum depression, anxiety, ocd, psychosis, etc.
Implying otherwise maintains the stigma that only bad moms/ birthing people struggle with postpartum symptoms.
When in reality, these complex medical symptoms aren’t exclusive to a specific kind of person.
