Kings Hospital Colombo is looking for a qualified and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our dynamic laboratory team in the Haematology Department.
🔹 Position: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) – Haematology
📍 Location: Colombo
🔍 Key Requirements & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Haematology laboratory
Strong experience in routine and specialized haematology testing (CBC, coagulation profiles, blood film analysis, etc.)
Experience in quality control procedures, quality assurance, and maintaining laboratory standards
Familiarity with laboratory instruments and analyzers used in haematology
Knowledge of laboratory accreditation standards and safety protocols
Registration with Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) or relevant professional body
Excellent communication and patient-handling skills
Basic computer literacy, LIS usage, and data entry skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Perform accurate and timely haematological investigations
Maintain and monitor internal and external quality control systems
Ensure proper sample handling, processing, and reporting
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines
Support continuous improvement of laboratory services
