WHAT ACTURAL HAPPEN WHEN YOU TAKE A MEDICINE !!!!!

After a medication is administered, it undergoes absorption across biological membranes into the systemic circulation, where its bioavailability is influenced by factors such as dissolution, gastric emptying, and first-pass hepatic metabolism. Once absorbed, the drug is distributed throughout the body according to its volume of distribution and degree of plasma protein binding, allowing only the unbound portion to interact with target receptors and produce pharmacodynamic effects. The medication is then metabolized primarily in the liver through Phase I (cytochrome P450–mediated) and Phase II conjugation processes that convert it into more water-soluble metabolites, which may be active or inactive. Finally, the parent drug and its metabolites are eliminated via renal excretion, biliary secretion, or other minor pathways, with overall clearance and half-life determining how long the drug remains in the body and guiding the proper dosing interval to maintain therapeutic levels without causing toxicity.

HEALTH TALK: UNDERSTANDING HEART DISEASE

Good day everyone. Today, we are talking about a very important health topic — Heart Disease.
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, but the good news is that most cases can be prevented with simple lifestyle changes.

1. What Is Heart Disease?

Heart disease happens when the heart or the blood vessels that supply it become weak, blocked, or damaged.
Common types include:

High blood pressure (Hypertension)

Heart attack

Heart failure

Stroke

Irregular heartbeat (Arrhythmia)

2. What Causes Heart Disease?

The main causes include:

High blood pressure

High cholesterol

Smoking

Too much alcohol

Being overweight

Eating too much oily, salty, or sugary food

Lack of exercise

Stress

Family history

3. Signs and Symptoms to Watch For

Not everyone has symptoms, but common warning signs include:

Chest pain or pressure

Shortness of breath

Fast or irregular heartbeat

Swollen feet or legs

Constant tiredness

Dizziness or fainting

Sudden weakness on one side of the body (sign of stroke)

Important: If someone has severe chest pain, sweating, or shortness of breath → Rush to the clinic immediately.

4. How to Prevent Heart Disease
a. Eat Healthy

More vegetables, fruits, beans, and fish

Reduce salt, Maggie, and oil

Avoid fried foods and junk foods

Drink enough water

b. Stay Active

Walk at least 30 minutes daily

Avoid sitting too long

Do simple exercises like stretching, jumping, or dancing

c. Avoid Harmful Habits

Stop smoking

Reduce alcohol intake

Manage stress through rest, prayer, or relaxation

d. Check Your Health Regularly

Check blood pressure at least once a month

Check cholesterol and sugar levels

Visit the clinic when you feel unusual symptoms

5. Why Regular Check-ups Are Important

Many heart problems show no symptoms until they become serious.
Early detection saves lives.

6. Key Message

Your heart is the engine of your body.
Protect it by eating well, exercising, avoiding harmful habits, and checking your health regularly.
A healthy heart means a longer and stronger life.

🩺 PUBLIC HEALTH MESSAGE
Visit the Clinic Before Taking Any Medication!

Your health is too important to gamble with!
Before you take any medicine — whether from a friend, a drug store, or home — visit the clinic first.

Here’s why it matters 👇

Correct Diagnosis:
Many sicknesses have similar symptoms. Only a qualified health worker can tell what is really wrong through proper check-up and lab tests.

Right Treatment, Right Dose:
Taking the wrong medicine or wrong dose can make your condition worse or cause serious side effects.

Avoid Drug Resistance:
Misuse of antibiotics and other drugs can make them stop working in the future — a big danger for you and your community.

Prevent Complications:
Some drugs can damage your liver, kidneys, or pregnancy if used wrongly. A clinic visit ensures safety for all ages.

Save Time and Money:
Treating the wrong sickness wastes money and delays your recovery. A simple clinic visit can prevent bigger problems later.
