李大使昨(10/31)日中午邀請即將於12月赴臺參加 #臺灣皮膚科醫學會第49屆年會暨歐亞皮膚性病學(EAAD)第8屆研討會的Dr. Andris Rubins餐敘。
身兼拉脫維亞國家科學院榮譽院長、皮膚病學協會會長及EAAD創始人的Dr. Rubins曾在2013年及2017年訪台出席醫學會議。他非常期待這次訪臺和臺灣及世界各國的傑出學者、專家相互切磋，同時也特別致贈李大使家族自傳和畫作集錦，歡迎未來有更多醫療學術的合作機會。
Dr. Rubins特別跟李大使分享他的家族過去一百多年來在蘇聯統治時期的遭遇及影響、他的成長經歷及投入醫學專業的過程，以及何以將桌球視為終身的運動嗜好，非常溫馨感人。
Ambassador Lee invited Dr. Andris Rubins, the President of Latvian Association of Dermatovenerologists as well as Dr. Honoris Causa of Latvian Academy of Sciences， for a lunch on 31 October. Dr. Rubin shared how he was brought up in Sigulda, his family history, and how he pursues professional career and the turning point of making him enjoy playing table tennis as a life-long habit.
Dr. Rubins is about to attend The 49th Annual Meeting of Taiwanese Dermatological Association (TDA)
The 8th Euro-Asian Association of Dermatovenereologists (EAAD) Congress taking place in Taiwan in December. He was in Taiwan in 2013 and 2017 for seminars in the field of dermatology. He looks forward to visiting Taiwan again to engage with distinguished scholars and experts from Taiwan and around the world.
During lunch, Dr. Rubins also presented Ambassador Lee with his family autobiography and a collection of artwork. Both them also exchanged views and opinions on future exchange and cooperation.
