CONSUMED - The Manufactured Life
Yeah…
They feed us… then they need us…
Then they sell us back… piece by piece…
I was born in a system that preys on the weak,
Put a price on your breath, then they tax what you eat,
Label says “fresh” but it’s far from the truth,
Got preservatives raising the cost of your youth
Chicken on steroids? Nah—more complex than that,
But the way that it’s farmed still be bending the facts,
Mass production, packed tight, yeah the ethics collapse,
Profit first—health last—that’s the corporate trap
Eggshell fragile but the trust is too,
Rumors spread fast when the truth’s subdued,
Plastic fears echo in a digital room,
When transparency dies, paranoia blooms
Energy drinks got you wired, then crashed,
Sugar highs turn your future to ash,
You don’t need a lab coat to see through the mask,
When addiction is profit, they’ll sell it fast
We’re consumed, we’re reduced to a number they track,
Buy the cure for the poison they sold you back,
It’s a loop, no escape when your body’s the rack,
They don’t heal—they maintain, keep you coming back
We’re consumed, yeah the system’s intact,
You’re a product, not a person, just a stat in the stack,
From the crib to the grave, they attach then extract,
Welcome to the world where your pain is a contract
Doctors in the middle of a maze they didn’t build,
Tryna treat symptoms while the root stays still,
Not every pill’s evil, but the cycle is real,
When the cure ain’t the goal, just the profit appeal
Pharma giants playing chess with your veins,
While you’re stuck in a loop tryna lessen the pain,
You don’t question the script when you desperate for change,
So you swallow the doubt with the meds that remain
Now pause—don’t twist what I’m saying,
Medicine saves lives, but the system be playing,
Between healing and profit, there’s lines that are fading,
And the trust that we had? Yeah, it’s slowly decaying
Mothers wiping babies with a chemical wipe,
Thinking it’s safe, never questioning life,
Most are regulated—but fear still ignites,
When you don’t understand what you read on the side
Ingredients long like a legal disguise,
Words you can’t say, so you leave it aside,
And that ignorance grows into anger and cries,
Now the system looks guilty through skeptical eyes
They don’t gotta poison you straight to your face,
Just blur the line ‘til you question your plate,
Confusion’s a weapon, they weaponize doubt,
Now truth is a war that you scream about
Social media fueling the fire inside,
Half-truths mixed with fear amplified,
Now you don’t know what’s real, what’s a lie,
So you trust nothing—and that’s how they thrive
Divide and distract, keep the panic alive,
While the real conversations quietly die,
About access to health, about food supply,
About why cheap options keep people deprived
We’re consumed, we’re reduced to a number they track,
Buy the cure for the poison they sold you back,
It’s a loop, no escape when your body’s the rack,
They don’t heal—they maintain, keep you coming back
So what’s real? What’s fear? What’s designed?
What’s a truth, what’s a thought in your mind?
If you question the system, then question it right,
Don’t let anger replace what you fight
Yeah…
They feed us…
But don’t let ‘em define us…
