ββ What is Plantar Fasciitis? ββ
The Plantar Fascia is a thick band of connective tissue running along the bottom of your foot, connecting your heel bone to your toes. When it gets overloaded, micro-tears and inflammation can occur, leading to persistent heel and arch pain.
π₯ Common Symptoms to Watch For:π₯
π― Sharp, Stabbing Pain: Usually felt on the bottom of the heel.
π
Morning Stiffness: Pain is often worst during the very first steps of the day.
πββοΈ Pain After Activity: The pain often eases up while moving around, but flares up again after resting or sitting down.
π Arch Sensitivity: Tenderness or aching along the sole of the foot.
β What Causes It? β
Plantar fasciitis often develops from:
π» Repetitive strain or overuse (like running or sudden increases in activity).
π» Poor foot mechanics (flat feet or high arches).
π» Unsupportive or improper footwear.
π» Extended periods of standing on hard surfaces.
