As part of the PREVENT-CRC awareness campaign, I’m excited to invite you to monthly free 20-min health talks, starting June 2026.

I shall be hosting the Metabolic Health Blueprint Series alongside a distinguished lineup of internationally recognised experts. This exclusive webinar series is designed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and everyday well-being, while also supporting ongoing research into metabolic health and disease prevention.

Across a series of engaging 20-minute sessions, we will explore:
• The neurological drivers of leptin resistance
• The complex regulation of the microbiome
• The role of the HPA axis in stress and metabolism
• Key insights from endocrinology, epigenetics, and gut health

Each session is tailored for proactive individuals seeking evidence-based strategies to improve their health and longevity. We’ll conclude with an interactive discussion, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and translate insights into a personalised approach.

🎯 Why participate?
By joining, you’ll not only gain access to expert knowledge, you’ll also contribute to the broader PREVENT-CRC research effort aimed at advancing metabolic health and disease prevention.

Register today. https://investinyour.health/m/

Let’s work together to transform knowledge into action, and build a healthier future. INVITE your friends and family.

Leptin is the body’s way of saying: “Energy is good.”

This hormone, produced by fat (adipose) tissue, signals the brain that enough energy is available. When that message is received clearly, the body doesn’t just survive… it thrives.

✨ Energy is available
✨ Repair happens (healing, recovery, resilience)
✨ Fertility is supported (hormones, ovulation, libido)
✨ Daily functions run smoothly

But when leptin resistance develops, the message doesn’t get through. The brain perceives low energy, even when stores are high, and the body responds by protecting itself.

⚠️ Repair slows down
⚠️ Fertility is suppressed
⚠️ Hunger increases
⚠️ Energy expenditure drops

Over time, this miscommunication leads to weight gain and chronic inflammation.

This is why the body prioritises survival first, and shuts down “non-essential” functions like repair and reproduction early.

It’s not just about willpower.
It’s about communication.

Understand the signal. Support the system.

A dream. A journey. A reality. ✨

Today marked a truly special moment. welcoming the President of Ħamrun Ħanin, Ian Debattista to the CRIHM mobile unit, the heart of the PREVENT-CRC project.

This initiative began as a simple conversation 3 years ago, when I met Ian during a discussion to plan a social fundraising event for Miss Ħamrun 2023, my precious daughter Bethany. From that moment, we shared a vision: to bring cancer research closer to the community, capturing vital data, and uncover novel signatures to support colorectal cancer screening and prevent cancer.

This morning, that vision came full circle. I had the privilege of consenting Ian, to participate in the very project we once only dreamed about.

Some moments remind you why you started. This is one of them. 💙

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Today I visited the Malta Colorectal Cancer Awareness Group-MCRCAG awareness event in the FOYER of Mater Dei Hospital., as they continue to actively promote the importance of colorectal cancer screening. Early detection saves lives, and conversations like these truly matter.

Even more special as the association celebrates 10 years of dedication, advocacy, and impact in our community 👏

Let’s keep raising awareness, encouraging screening, and supporting one another. Together, we can make a difference.
