Low back pain is very common worldwide.
In 2020, about 619 million people experienced low back pain, and numbers are expected to increase (Ferreira et al., 2023).

In most cases (≈90%), there is no serious injury — pain is often related to muscles, joints, posture, or daily strain (Sima & Diwan, 2025).

Common contributing factors include:
• Prolonged sitting
• Lack of movement
• Weak core muscles
• Muscle tension
• Stress
• Heavy or unusual activity

Physiotherapy can help reduce pain and improve function in chronic low back pain (Hayden et al., 2021).

Most back pain can improve with the right treatment and guidance.
