The Senior Management Team of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital met with a delegation from the U.S. Embassy during their visit to Kulhudhuffushi City to discuss potential areas of collaboration, community engagement, and partnership opportunities that could benefit the local community.

In observance of World Orthodontic Health Day, a Symposium was conducted at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), bringing together specialists and members of the wider healthcare community for academic discussions and knowledge exchange.

Dr. Georgie P. Zachariah, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, was invited as a Guest Speaker and delivered a lecture on temporomandibular joint disorders from a maxillofacial perspective.

The symposium provided an excellent opportunity for academic exchange, professional networking, and collaboration with orthodontic specialists, IGMH faculty members, and multidisciplinary healthcare practitioners.

Participation in such academic forums reflects KRH’s ongoing commitment to continuous professional development, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of specialist healthcare services.

Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) held a constructive meeting with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Northern Area Command to discuss challenges, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen referral pathways from Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani Atolls.

As we are actively working towards establishing a clearer and more effective referral pathway, enhancing coordination among healthcare stakeholders, and ensuring timely access to quality healthcare services for communities across the region.
