What an amazing moment of solidarity and connection it was in Blantyre.

From games, laughter, and open conversations to simply being present for one another, the Men’s Mental Health Solidarity Walk created a true safe space for men to relax, share, and feel seen.

Moments like these remind us that mental health is not only about heavy conversations — it’s also about joy, community, and togetherness. Creating spaces where men can just be human is powerful.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this possible. Let’s keep building these safe spaces, one step at a time.

MUPANGENI TAG MNZANU AMENE ALI MU VIDEOYI and tell them, together we are breaking the stigma against men's mental health

VOTE OF THANKS – MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH SOLIDARITY WALK 2026

Sorry I'm Not Sorry extends sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in and supported the Men's Mental Health Solidarity Walk held on 6 June 2026 under the theme "Partners in Care for Better Mental Health."

The success of the event was made possible through the support of our sponsors, partners, volunteers, media houses, mental health advocates, and all participants who joined us in raising awareness and promoting conversations around men's mental health.

Your commitment sends a powerful message that men's mental health matters and that together we can break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

As the walk ends, our mission continues. We encourage everyone to remain active partners in care by supporting one another, promoting mental wellness, and creating safe spaces for those in need.

THE WALK MAY BE OVER, BUT THE JOURNEY TOWARDS BETTER MENTAL HEALTH FOR ALL MEN CONTINUES.

On this 7th day of Men's Mental Health Month, we at Sorry I'm Not Sorry ,continue to appreciate all the responsible citizens who spared their time to walk in solidarity for men's mental health.

Your presence was more than participation, together we came and started conversations that no man should suffer in silence. Every step taken helped raise awareness, challenge stigma, and encourage those struggling to seek help.

Together, we are building a Malawi where mental health conversations are welcomed, support is accessible, and that seeking help is seen as a sign of strength.

Enjoy our Com's creative moments, in pictorial.

A burden shared, is a burden lightened.

It doesn't matter who you are, in a society.

Together, we can create a Malawi where seeking help is encouraged, where conversations replace silence, and where every man knows that support is within reach.

Blantyre City Mayor Isaac Jomo Osman has called on organisations to champion men's rights and mental health to reduce the rising cases of su***de among men in the country.

Osman made the remarks in Blantyre during a mental health awareness campaign organised by the mental health advocacy organisation Sorry I'm Not Sorry.

District and Southern Region Coordinator for Sorry I'm Not Sorry, Charles Donasiyano, said the organisation organised the event in response to the increasing number of su***de cases among men.

Speaking at the event, Director General of Zomba Mental Hospital, Dr Raphael Piringu, said that although the number of new admissions has declined, cases of readmission continue to rise, with men accounting for a higher proportion compared to women.

The event, which began with a solidarity walk from Blantyre Clock Tower to Mjamba Freedom Park, was held as part of activities marking Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, commemorated globally in June.

What a powerful day of unity, purpose, and action.

The Men’s Mental Health Solidarity Walk today in Blantyre, not only brought Men a big space to speak up.

We heightened the awareness and support for better mental health for all.

We also sincerely appreciate the role the media is playing in amplifying this important conversation, especially Capital FM, for helping spread the message far and wide.

Men,seek help.
