In response to the recent recall of Pholcodine-containing medication by the Ministry of Health Malaysia, we have taken swift action to ensure the safety of our patients. As a precautionary measure, all products containing Pholcodine have been removed from our shelves.

We are currently in the process of contacting our patients who have previously been prescribed Pholcodine-containing medication, including:-
🛑Duro-Tuss Expectorant 90ml
🛑Duro-Tuss Forte 90ml
🛑Axcel Iridin Linctus
🛑Difflam Cough Lozenges

We also urge our patients who have been scheduled for surgery to inform their physicians if they have taken any Pholcodine-containing products, whether purchased over the counter or prescribed, in the past 12 months.

For more accurate test results;

1. Do not eat, drink, or smoke prior to the test for at least 30 Minutes.

2. Any saliva specimen is appropriate for testing but the saliva specimen collected in the morning, before mouth rinsed, eating or drinking, is recommended.

Interpreting the Results

1. Positive Result If you see two red lines by C and T regions, it is a positive result. The lines can be distinct or faint. You are tested Covid-19 positive. RT-PCR test is still required for a confirmation of a Covid-19 case. You are advised to seek medical attention immediately even though you might have no symptoms Do follow the current SOP given

2. Negative Result If you see one red line by C, and no line by T, it is a negative result. You probably do not have Covid-19. However, you are advised to continue monitoring for symptoms if you suspect you might be exposed to the virus as there is a chance for a false-negative result
