Despite stingless bee honey’s rising recognition for its exceptional bioactive compounds and health benefits, research on the application of it remains scarce as compared to stinging bee honey. Stemming from this research gap, Brainey is determined in conducting further research to explore stingless bee honey’s preclinical and clinical applications.

Today, Brainey’s dedicated research team engaged in a collaborative discussion with clinicians from Hospital Pakar USM, marking another crucial milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to research-backed evidence of Kelulut Brainey’s health benefits. Through continuous collaboration with healthcare professionals, Brainey continues to strengthen research-backed evidence, pivotal for medical advancements and instilling consumer confidence.

𝗨𝗦𝗠’𝗦 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 🧠

In conjunction with USM Health Campus’ Brain Awareness Week celebration held at Grey Square, Brainey’s esteemed founder and USM lecturer, Dr Zulkifli, was invited to deliver a talk on “Madu: Superfood Semula Jadi untuk Kesihatan Minda”. Organised by the Department of Neuroscience, this program aims to pique the community's interest in exploring the brain and mind, especially among school students, through poster presentations, talk sessions from experts and other activities.

During the talk, Dr Zulkifli emphasised the positive effects of Kelulut Brainey on the brain, especially its ability to increase BDNF, a vital “fertiliser” for the brain that supports learning and memory. Rich with bioactive compounds such as the unique trehalulose sugar, probiotics and phenolics, stingless bee honey (SBH) has undergone numerous preclinical and clinical research to prove its health benefits. For example, the positive effect of Kelulut Brainey on memory has been depicted in a preclinical study on mice, in which the mice were divided into two groups: one group received SBH, whereas the other did not. Results showed that the mice given SBH for a week showed positive impact on memory as they were able to find the platform within 8.89 seconds as compared to the mice not given SBH, taking 13.50 seconds

The Brain Awareness Week is an initiative that raises awareness on the importance of cognitive well-being and reinforces the potential of stingless bee honey as a functional food. Furthermore, it serves as a platform to inspire the young generation to appreciate, understand and nurture their cognitive development.📚

In conjunction with World Cancer Day, Brainey Sdn Bhd was honoured to be invited to host a booth at Hospital Pakar USM’s outpatient pharmacy walkway. Taking place on 4th February every year, World Cancer Day is a global initiative that raises cancer awareness and brings early detection, prevention and treatment to the forefront. Educating the community is a collaborative effort as it serves as a vital stepping stone towards fostering health awareness and well-being.

Rooted in numerous pre-clinical and clinical studies, kelulut honey’s plethora of health benefits was highlighted, including its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Rich in antioxidants, Kelulut Brainey may support patients undergoing chemotherapy by relieving certain side effects and reducing oxidative stress. Amid the current hot weather, Kelulut Brainey comes into play, as staying hydrated is vital. It can promote fluid intake and soothe sore throats through its anti-inflammatory properties and bioactive compounds.

Apart from sharing health benefits, a showcase of Brainey’s very own patented KEIFh System innovation was also conducted. Brainey Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Graphic Design Intern. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic working environment.

Founded in 2020 by Dr Zulkifli, Brainey Sdn Bhd is Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)’s spin-off company rooted in a sustainable economic ecosystem known as Kelulunomic, a socioeconomic model centred on Kelulut-based economic activities. Located at USM Health Campus Kelantan, the Advanced National Honey Landmark (AnNaHL) serves as a translational centre for the kelulut honey industry.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
- Design print & visual media such as brochures & social media content
- Support multimedia production such as video filming & editing
- Assist the marketing department as required

- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Multimedia/Graphic Design/Advertising/Mass Communication or a related field
