BLUE SANTA NAMIBIA 2026 – WHAT A SUCCESS!
Today, history was made in Swakopmund as Namibia proudly hosted Blue Santa, becoming the first country in Sub-Saharan Africa to join this global movement that began in Japan.
Together, community members, volunteers, families, and partners rolled up their sleeves and cleaned approximately 3.3 km of coastline in just 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Together we collected an incredible 35 kg of waste, including:
* Plastic bottles
* Milk cartons
* Paper and cardboard
* Cans
* Cigarette butts
* Clothing and textiles
* Mixed litter and other waste
Every piece removed from our coastline is one less threat to our oceans, marine life, and future generations.
This event was about more than picking up litter. It was about bringing people together, inspiring environmental responsibility, and proving that when a community unites, real change happens. It was dedicated to mental health as we clean the environment we clean the mind.
A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, family, child, community member, and partner who joined us today. Your time, energy, and commitment made this event a tremendous success.
This is only the beginning. Together, we are building cleaner coastlines, healthier communities, and a brighter future for Namibia.
