TOPIC: 5 WAYS TO PREVENT MALARIA THIS SEASON
According to reports, about 10 million Malaria cases are recorded each year, with over 300,000 deaths, in Nigeria alone. These victims are mostly children of under 5 years of age.
Malaria is caused by a parasite (Plasmodium) that is transmitted to people through the bites of infected Anopheles mosquitoes. From the numerous detrimentary effects of Malaria on people; particularly children, it could be safely said that Malaria is a killer disease, if not properly treated on time.
Consciously taking precautions to prevent mosquito bites can help a great deal in preventing this killer disease called Malaria

Cleanliness is essential in preventing Malaria. From records mosquitoes breed more in places where we have stagnant water. So, mobilizing Family, Neighbors and Friends, to clean up the environment, regularly, is the first step to keeping Mosquitoes away – as such, keeping Malaria at bay.
2. USE A MOSQUITO TREATED NET
Mosquito treated nets offer protection against mosquitoes and other insects. it ensure mosquitoes are out of your bed at anytime in use. To ensure total safety using the mosquito nets, check that the net is not torn and ensure it is properly spread or tucked underneath your mattress or bed.
3. INSECTICIDE SPRAY
For people who state that they are not accustomed to using mosquito treated nets, an insecticide spray is a variable alternative. An insecticide is a formulated substance that is used in killing insects. Make sure that you buy an active insecticide brand that gives immediate annihilating effect against flying, as well as crawling insects.
