FITHAEI Alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The activities and programs of the 1st FCT Indigenous Talent Hunt & Art Exhibition Initiative (FITHAEI) directly contribute to the achievement of key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through youth empowerment, education, cultural preservation, and community development initiatives.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
FITHAEI promotes decent work and sustainable economic growth by providing free vocational and entrepreneurial training for youths in areas such as fashion design, graphics design, shoe making, hair styling, cake baking, and solar installation.
Through practical skills acquisition, mentorship, and empowerment programs, the organization equips young people with employable and income-generating skills that enhance self-reliance, reduce youth unemployment, and encourage entrepreneurship within local communities.
By connecting talents to opportunities and promoting productive engagement among youths, FITHAEI contributes to inclusive economic growth and sustainable livelihoods.
SDG 4: Quality Education
FITHAEI supports quality education by creating opportunities for continuous learning, capacity building, mentorship, and youth development.
The organization’s empowerment programs are designed to provide practical knowledge, life skills, and educational exposure that help young people build confidence, improve their capabilities, and become productive members of society.
Through trainings, sensitization programs, leadership engagements, and community outreach activities, FITHAEI promotes inclusive and lifelong learning opportunities, especially for underserved and indigenous youths within the Federal Capital Territory.
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
FITHAEI contributes to the development of sustainable communities by promoting indigenous culture, supporting grassroots participation, and implementing community-based interventions.
The organization actively preserves and promotes the cultural heritage of indigenous communities within the FCT through talent exhibitions, cultural showcases, and youth engagement initiatives.
By creating inclusive platforms where local talents, creativity, and community participation are encouraged, FITHAEI helps strengthen social inclusion, community identity, and resilience while fostering sustainable community development.
Through its programs and partnerships, FITHAEI remains committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals by empowering young people, promoting social inclusion, and creating positive impact across communities within the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.
