Last week, we wrapped up our latest cohort for the Menstrualdemy Train-the-Trainer and Advanced Menstrual Education Certification Programs.
We had phenomenal team members enrolled from various organizations, all eager to deepen their community impact and the team from the Aimee Thrive Initiative wasted no time putting their training to work.
Immediately after finishing the program, they stepped straight into a classroom to host a baseline Menstrual Education Session for the young girls pictured here.
This immediate shift from learning to doing is exactly where the ripple effect begins.
When an organization takes what they have learned and immediately shares it, the knowledge stays fresh, the curriculum is validated in real-time, and a safe space is instantly created for these young girls.
We often talk about period poverty in terms of missing products, but the lack of accurate, shame-free information is just as critical.
By delivering structured menstrual literacy right away, the Aimee Thrive Initiative helped replace fear with anatomical facts, taught best menstrual hygiene practices to prevent health complications, gave these girls the confidence to speak up about their menstrual health needs amongst others areas.
This single classroom session is a practical, vital action step toward a much larger goal.
By standardizing high-quality menstrual education across different independent organizations, we are collectively building a sustainable network that can end period poverty through the power of knowledge.
This is just the beginning of what these certified leaders will accomplish.
