But why?

ACT antimalarials work partly by damaging malaria parasites through oxidative processes, while Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant. Because of this, some experts raised a theoretical concern that high-dose Vitamin C supplements might interfere with how the medicine works.

However:

❌ There is no strong evidence that normal Vitamin C use has been proven to stop ACT medicines from working in people.
