Are You A Foodie?
Let's talk
Being a Foodie Shouldn’t Be a Title You Should Brag About
Your Health Is on the Line
These days, most people wants to be called a foodie.
Posting pictures of giant plates.
Bragging about eating the latest special at that new restaurant.
Always thinking about the next bite instead of the next business strategy.
But here’s the hard truth:
Being proud of eating too much or too often especially when your health is already on the line is not something to boast about.
Honestly.
Many people who say they are “foodies” are really just battling constant hunger, cravings, and poor control but they cover it up with jokes or pride.
They'll say things like....
“I just love food too much”
But their blood sugar is out of range without them knowing.
They'll say...
“Food is my love language”
But they’re always tired, dizzy, or thirsty.
Working with such people in a corporate institution can be frustrating.
They'll pile up work, procrastinate and are sluggish to deliver.
Always chewing or drinking something.
They say
“Life is short, eat what you want.”
But their health is slowly breaking down.
If you’re diabetic or prediabetic, unchecked “foodie habits” could be leading you to more damage.
- Instead of bragging about how much you eat,
- Brag about how well you manage your sugar,
- Celebrate choosing fiber-rich foods.
- Get excited about mastering portion control.
- Feel proud when you say “no” to free offers that expose your to unhealthy eating because you love your body more than food.
Listen
Your taste buds should not be the boss
your brain and your blood sugar should be in full control.
You can still enjoy food, but wisely not like a fool.
Remember Food is a blessing, but abuse it, and it becomes a silent poison that kills more than a serial killer.
