My husband has become extremely controlling, and I don’t know what to do anymore.

At first, I thought it was jé@lôûśy because he loved me. But over the years, it has become exhausting. If a male coworker sends me a work-related message, he demands to see the entire conversation. If I come home later than expected because of traffic, he accuses me of meeting another man.

Last week, my company organized a team-building event. I almost didn’t go because I knew it would cause an argument, but attendance was mandatory.

The next day, someone posted group photos from the event on social media. One picture showed me standing next to a male colleague during a team activity.

My husband saw the photo and completely lost his temper.

He accused me of embarrassing him and said a married woman should not be attending events where men are present. He then gave me an ultimatum: either quit my job and focus on being a wife, or prepare for a divôrçë

The problem is that I love my job. It took me years to build my career, and my income helps support our family. At the same time, I don’t want my marriage to fall apart.

My parents think I should sacrifice my career to save my marriage. My friends say no one should have to give up their independence to prove loyalty.

Now I’m torn between the life I’ve worked hard to build and the marriage I’ve invested years in.
