PHCTC UNTH Enugu Graduates 2025 Set in Grand Ceremony

The Primary Health Care Tutors Course (PHCTC), University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, on Thursday, 13th August 2026, held the graduation and send-forth ceremony for the 2025 set at Imoke Hall, UNTH Enugu Old Site.
The event had in attendance distinguished personalities including the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Obinna Onodugo represented by the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Dr. Charles Nonyelu; Director of Administration, Mrs. Uche Obi; National President, Association of Primary Health Care Educators of Nigeria, Alhaji Uba Abdullahi; Chairman of the Occasion, High Chief Dr. Onyekaozulu Anih; Head, Department of Community Medicine, Prof. Chinyere Ojiugo Mbachu; Acting Coordinator, PHCTC, Mrs. Ugwu Chidimma Goodness; and other dignitaries.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Occasion, High Chief Dr. Onyekaozulu Anih, encouraged the graduates to continually strive for excellence. He urged them to leverage their training to advance health education and improve healthcare delivery across the country.
The Acting Coordinator, Mrs. Ugwu Chidimma, described the occasion as “a celebration of resilience, academic excellence, and professional transformation.” She commended the graduates for their dedication and perseverance throughout the programme.
Speaking on behalf of the CMD, Dr. Charles Nonyelu congratulated the graduands and charged them to put their training into practice. He also assured them that their request for an improved learning environment would receive prompt attention.
In his goodwill message, the National President of APHCEN, Alhaji Uba Abdullahi, urged the new tutors to practice strictly in line with their professional licenses and ethics.
Highlights of the ceremony included a welcome song, presentation of awards, presentation of certificates to the graduands, and oath-taking. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Acting Coordinator, Mrs. Ugwu.
The 2025 set of PHCTC graduates are expected to serve as tutors and health educators in various primary healthcare institutions across Nigeria.
