TOO MUCH VITAMIN C CAN CAUSE KIDNEY STONES

Many people believe that because Vitamin C is good for the body, taking more and more will make them even healthier.

Unfortunately, that is not always true.

When you take too much Vitamin C, your body gets rid of the excess through the urine. During this process, part of the Vitamin C is changed into a substance that can stick with calcium and form tiny crystals inside the kidneys.

Over time, these crystals can grow into kidney stones.

Kidney stones can cause:

Severe pain in the back or side

Pain while passing urine

Blood in the urine

Nausea and vomiting

Difficulty passing urine

The risk is higher in people who:

* Take high-dose Vitamin C supplements regularly
* Do not drink enough water
* Have had kidney stones before

Does this mean you should stop eating oranges and other fruits?

No.

The amount of Vitamin C found naturally in fruits is safe and healthy.

The problem is usually with taking too many Vitamin C tablets or supplements without medical advice.

The truth is:

Just because something is good for you doesn’t mean taking more of it is better.

Too much of anything—even vitamins—can be harmful.

Always speak with your doctor before taking high doses of Vitamin C, especially if you have had kidney stones in the past.

I came across a video of a man sitting down while proposing to his fiancée, and here is my take on it.

First, the modern proposal culture we see today is largely borrowed from Western traditions. If you choose to adopt a culture from another society, it makes sense to understand and follow the symbolism behind it.

Traditionally, the act of going down on one knee during a proposal is seen as a gesture of honor, commitment, humility, and respect towards the person you are asking to spend the rest of your life with. It is one of the defining features of the proposal itself.

Of course, every couple is free to do things their own way, and there is no law that says a man must kneel before proposing. What matters most is the love, commitment, and intention behind the proposal.

That said, if you are going to embrace a tradition, it is understandable why some people would expect it to be done in the manner in which it is commonly practiced.

Again, this is just my opinion. The proposal belongs to the couple, and as long as both parties are happy, that is ultimately what matters.
