“UNCLE, DON’T TAKE THAT ONE!”
I was surprised when a child told me he didn't want a particular biscuit because it had sugar.
It made me realize something important: children are capable of learning about their health much earlier than we think.
We shouldn't wait until children become adults before teaching them about balanced eating, physical activity, and healthy habits.
And just to clarify: eating sugar does not automatically mean you will develop diabetes. Diabetes is more complicated than that.
The goal is not to make children afraid of food. The goal is to help them understand how to make healthier choices.
What health lesson did your parents teach you when you were growing up?
