‼️ 11-YEAR-OLD AND 20-YEAR-OLD BROTHERS FATALLY SHOT WHILE BACKING INTO THEIR OWN DRIVEWAY‼️

📍 SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

🇺🇸 USA

Two brothers were fatally shot outside their family home after a neighbour allegedly opened fire as they were backing their vehicle into the driveway.

Maliki Perales, 11, and Dravyn Quiroz, 20, were killed on Wednesday, August 5, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say Daniel Antonio Perez, 38, left his home carrying a firearm and shot at the brothers without any apparent provocation.

Deputies responding to the shooting found the two brothers at the scene. Two other siblings from the same family were also shot but survived.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said surveillance footage showed two young women who were related to Perez trying to stop him as he left his home with the gun.

Perez was later arrested nearby.

Authorities said there had been no known dispute between the two households before the shooting. Investigators also learned from Perez’s relatives that he may have been dealing with undiagnosed mental health problems.

Perez reportedly called 911 after the shooting and told authorities that he had shot the victims.

He has been charged with capital murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault causing bodily injury.

He remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.

The victims’ father, Andrew Perales, struggled to hold back tears while remembering his sons.

“My boys were awesome. I’m proud of them,” he said.

He also said he did not know how he would carry on after losing them.

The case remains under investigation.

What do you think should happen to the suspect if he is convicted?

‼️ LINDSAY CLANCY CASE: HERE’S THE TIMELINE OF WHAT HAPPENED

The Lindsay Clancy trial has become increasingly difficult to follow, with testimony covering medications, mental health treatment, phone activity, internet searches and what happened inside the family home on January 24.

So here’s the timeline in one place.

And just to be clear — this timeline was originally put together by on TikTok, who gave permission for it to be shared.

The biggest issue in this case is NOT whether Lindsay Clancy killed her three children.

She is not denying that.

The question is whether she should be held criminally responsible for those actions.

⚖️ THE PROSECUTION'S ARGUMENT

Prosecutors point to what Lindsay allegedly did before the deaths — including internet searches, ordering takeout and getting Patrick out of the house.

They argue those actions show that she was thinking ahead, understood what she was doing and was capable of forming intent.

🧠 THE DEFENSE'S ARGUMENT

Her attorneys argue that severe postpartum mental illness and psychosis can exist alongside actions that may appear organized or deliberate.

They say Lindsay's mental state was so severely affected that she could not properly understand the wrongfulness of what she was doing or control her actions.

And that's why seemingly small details are becoming important in court.

A search.

A phone call.

A medication.

A food order.

What happened before Patrick left the house.

Each side is presenting those same events very differently.

But underneath all the medical evidence and courtroom arguments are three children — Cora, Dawson and Callan.

Their lives are at the center of this case.

💔 Rest in peace, Cora, Dawson and Callan.

After seeing the timeline, which part of the case raises the biggest question for you?

‼️ SOURCE ALLEGES NORTH DAKOTA MOTHER HAD AFFAIR WITH HER FATHER-IN-LAW BEFORE DEADLY ATTACK ON HER CHILDREN

📍 Mandan, North Dakota

🇺🇸 USA

A new and unverified allegation has surfaced surrounding the North Dakota mother accused of killing two of her children and seriously injuring another.

A source who says they know Kailey Erhart, 22, personally claims Erhart had allegedly been involved in an affair with her husband’s father.

According to the source, the children’s father, Cameron, discovered the alleged relationship in July and was preparing to file for divorce.

The source further claimed that Erhart had questioned whether her youngest child was Cameron’s biological child or belonged to his father.

These allegations have not been confirmed by police or established in court. They come from a person who says they were familiar with Erhart and that she had discussed the alleged relationship with them.

The allegations come as Erhart faces a serious criminal case following the deaths of two of her children.

According to an affidavit, police were called to a Mandan residence on Thursday after reports that a mother had attacked her children with a knife.

Investigators allege Erhart chased the children’s father and grandmother out of the home while armed with a knife. The children's father reportedly managed to take a firearm away from her before she locked him outside.

He also showed investigators a video allegedly recorded before the attack in which Erhart was carrying one of the children while a pistol was visible on her hip. She allegedly told him, “Say goodbye to your kids.”

When officers arrived, they reportedly found Erhart inside the home covered in blood and holding a knife to her own throat. Authorities said she eventually dropped the weapon and told officers to kill her.

Inside a bedroom, investigators found the three children suffering from severe neck injuries.

The children were identified as 3-year-old Morgan Erhart, 1-year-old Colton Erhart and 5-month-old Ava Erhart.

Morgan and Ava died from their injuries. Colton survived and was taken to a hospital, where he underwent extensive surgery.

Investigators said Erhart and the children's father had already been separating and that he had planned to divorce her.

Authorities also learned that the father had previously expressed concerns about Erhart allegedly threatening to harm herself and the children. She had reportedly spent time in a mental health facility within the previous 12 to 18 months before being cleared to return home.

During questioning, Erhart allegedly said she had put the children to bed and believed their throats had been injured before that. She reportedly claimed she could not remember what happened, although she remembered holding the knife when officers arrived.

Erhart is facing two counts of murder, attempted murder, two counts of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, three counts of aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic violence.

She has not entered a plea and remains held on a $3 million cash bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 6.

The criminal case remains ongoing, and the newly surfaced affair allegations remain unverified.

If the affair allegation is eventually confirmed, do you think it could become relevant to understanding what was happening inside the family before the attack?

‼️ MISS NORTH CAROLINA USA DETHRONED AFTER ALLEGED RACIST SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS RESURFACE

📍 North Carolina

🇺🇸 USA

Brittany Boltinhouse, who was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2026 just over a month ago, has been stripped of her title after alleged racist social media posts from previous years resurfaced online.

Pageant organizers, A-Blaize Productions, announced the decision on Wednesday, saying it followed a comprehensive review of the allegations. The organization said titleholders are expected to uphold the values of the Miss USA brand and represent the state with integrity.

Miss USA President and CEO Thom Brodeur said the organization does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, or language that degrades others. He added that the decision was based on conduct spanning several years, not a single isolated incident.

According to NCBeat, Boltinhouse allegedly posted multiple messages between 2017 and 2019 using the alias "Sosa the Stallion," in which she reportedly used a racial slur several times and described herself as "toxic."

Brodeur acknowledged that Boltinhouse apologized but said the apology did not erase the harm caused or change the outcome.

Boltinhouse, a Honduran-Mexican model and business owner from Wilmington, made history in June as the first Honduran woman to win the Miss North Carolina USA title. At the time, she celebrated the achievement as a milestone for representation and encouraged young girls to believe they belonged.

Following her removal, first runner-up Myla Hadley has officially been crowned Miss North Carolina USA and will represent the state at the 75th Miss USA competition in Miami later this month.

Do you believe past social media posts should disqualify someone from holding a public title years later if they have apologized, or should organizations enforce a zero-tolerance standard regardless of when the posts were made?

A North Carolina community is mourning after a husband and wife of 40 years were found dead in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide.

According to investigators, Tracey Parker Willetts allegedly shot and killed her husband, Stephen Larnell Willetts, before turning the gun on herself. The tragic incident happened just one day after the couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Authorities have not released a possible motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The couple had already endured unimaginable loss over the years. They lost both of their sons in separate tragedies—one in 2013 and the other in 2014.

Now, the deaths of Tracey and Stephen have brought another heartbreaking chapter to a family that had already experienced profound grief.

Officials have not released additional details as the investigation continues.

🚨 MOTHER ARRESTED AFTER INVESTIGATORS ALLEGEDLY DISCOVER ABUSE OF HER 4-YEAR-OLD SON POSTED ONLINE

📍 South Miami-Dade, Florida

🇺🇸 USA

A Florida mother has been arrested after a CyberTip allegedly led investigators to disturbing material involving her 4-year-old son that authorities say was posted on social media.

Maylin Elena Viana, 29, was taken into custody Wednesday following an investigation by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said investigators were alerted through a CyberTip and began examining social media accounts connected to Viana. They allegedly discovered a video on TikTok depicting the sexual abuse of her young son.

Investigators later found another video on an Instagram account after Viana reportedly gave them written permission to search her phone.

Viana has been charged with promoting a sexual performance involving a child and lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under 12 by an adult.

According to investigators, Viana also made statements during an interview after being advised of her Miranda rights.

She was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Her bond was set at $7,500 on one charge, while she was ordered held without bond on the other pending a pretrial hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing.

🚨 OKLAHOMA TEEN ACCUSED OF RA**NG TWO HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS HAS CASE DISMISSED AFTER COMPLETING YOUTHFUL OFFENDER PROGRAM

📍 Oklahoma

🇺🇸 USA

An Oklahoma teenager accused of ra**ng two high school girls has had his criminal case dismissed after successfully completing the state's youthful offender program.

Jesse Butler was granted youthful offender status, allowing him to avoid a traditional criminal conviction if he met the program's requirements.

Court records show the charges were dismissed one day before his 19th birthday after he completed the program. The case is now eligible to be sealed and expunged, meaning it can be treated as though it never occurred under state law.

According to reports, the allegations involved two teenage victims. One of the girls reportedly required neck surgery after investigators said she was strangled during the alleged assault.

During the final court hearing, Butler's defense argued that he had suffered more than the victims because of the case.

The state's new district attorney strongly criticized the outcome, saying the dismissal made his "blood boil" and expressing frustration that the case ended without a prison sentence.

The decision has sparked renewed debate over Oklahoma's youthful offender laws and whether they should apply in serious violent felony cases.

Do you believe defendants accused of violent sexual offenses should ever be eligible to have their cases dismissed and expunged through youthful offender programs?

🚨 18-YEAR-OLD MOTHER CHARGED AFTER PREMATURE BABY WAS FOUND IN TOILET FOLLOWING HOME BIRTH

📍 North Carolina
🇺🇸 USA

An 18-year-old North Carolina woman is facing multiple charges after authorities say her premature newborn was left in a toilet following a home birth.

Syeisha Johnson reportedly gave birth to a baby boy at about 31 weeks of pregnancy after allegedly taking abortion medication she had obtained online. Investigators say the infant was left in the toilet for some time before emergency services were contacted.

When first responders arrived, officials said the newborn still had a pulse. The baby was rushed to a hospital and survived, but remains under medical care.

According to investigators, Johnson discovered she was pregnant at around 20 weeks. Authorities allege she later obtained mifepristone online and took the medication shortly before she went into labor.

Police say Johnson's 19-year-old boyfriend, Elijah Speight, was also inside the apartment when the baby was born. Investigators reportedly found the medication in Johnson's purse, while Speight allegedly pointed officers toward it.

Johnson has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, along with multiple counts related to child abuse. Speight is facing a negligent child abuse charge.

The case has also drawn attention because of North Carolina's abortion restrictions. District Attorney Satana Deberry said prosecutors will consider the evidence while also taking into account a woman's legal rights concerning decisions about her own body.

Both Johnson and Speight have been released on bond and are expected to appear in court on August 26.

The investigation remains ongoing.

What do you think about the charges in this case, considering the baby survived?

🚨 OREGON MAN SENTENCED AFTER SHOOTING 16-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO ASKED HIM FOR A RIDE HOME

📍 Beaverton, Oregon

🇺🇸 USA

A 20-year-old Oregon man has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison after shooting his 16-year-old girlfriend in the stomach during an encounter at his apartment.

According to the Beaverton Police Department, the incident happened on November 21, 2024, after the teenage girl went to Sky Alexander Korbut's apartment to ask for a ride home.

Prosecutors said Korbut showed the teen a handgun while cleaning his room. The girl reportedly told him to get the gun out of her face and slapped it away. Seconds later, the weapon discharged, striking her in the abdomen.

After being shot, the terrified teenager sent desperate text messages to her mother, writing, "I got shot," "Mama," "Plz," and "Help me."

Korbut called 911 and claimed the shooting was accidental. However, investigators said the victim's account contradicted his version of events, leading prosecutors to pursue more serious charges.

The girl suffered catastrophic injuries after the bullet tore through her intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. She reportedly required 20 liters of blood during emergency treatment, and her family was warned she might not survive. She ultimately recovered.

Authorities also learned Korbut had illegally obtained the Smith & Wesson handgun after failing background checks. He later admitted buying the firearm "off the street."

Korbut was convicted of second-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. A judge sentenced him to nearly six years in the Oregon Department of Corrections.

Do you believe claiming a shooting was "accidental" should reduce someone's criminal responsibility when they were handling a loaded gun recklessly?
