🚨 THE SILENT HEALTH CRISIS AFFECTING MILLIONS OF NIGERIANS 🚨

Did you know that many Nigerians are walking around with HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE without knowing it?

High blood pressure (hypertension) is often called the "silent killer" because it may show NO symptoms until it causes a stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, or sudden death.

⚠️ Common risk factors:
βœ… Excess salt and junks intake
βœ… Stress (emotional and physical)
βœ… Obesity/overweight
βœ… Physical inactivity/sedentary lifestyle
βœ… Family history
βœ… Excessive alcohol consumption

The shocking truth? Many people only discover they have hypertension after a medical emergency.

πŸ’‘ Protect yourself:
βœ” Check your blood pressure regularly
βœ” Reduce salt and junks in your diet
βœ” Exercise for at least 45 minutes 3-5 times a week
βœ” Maintain a healthy weight (BMI less than 25)
βœ” Avoid smoking/shisha/e-cigarettes
βœ” Manage stress effectively

Your blood pressure today could determine your health tomorrow.

❀️ Have you checked your blood pressure this month? Tell us in the comments.

⚠️ CHOLERA ALERT: WHAT EVERY AFRICAN FAMILY SHOULD KNOW

Across Nigeria and several African countries, health authorities are increasing awareness about cholera and other water-borne diseases due to rising outbreaks linked to poor sanitation, unsafe water, and flooding.

Cholera is a serious infection that can cause severe diarrhoea, vomiting, dehydration, and death if not treated quickly β€” but the good news is that it is PREVENTABLE and TREATABLE.

βœ… Protect yourself and your family:
β€’ Drink clean or boiled water
β€’ Wash hands regularly with soap
β€’ Avoid uncovered street foods and contaminated water
β€’ Wash fruits and vegetables properly
β€’ Seek medical attention immediately if severe diarrhoea or vomiting occurs

Children, elderly people, and individuals with weak immunity are especially at risk.

At Instamedic Healthcare, we remain committed to providing FREE health education, preventive healthcare awareness, and guidance for patients seeking advanced medical treatment abroad in India, the Gulf countries, and other parts of the world.

Prevention saves lives. Early treatment saves lives.

Stay informed. Stay healthy.

HEALTH ALERT:
Understanding the Ebola Threat & Staying Safe.
The current outbreak in DR Congo& Uganda is driven by the Bundibugyo virus strain.
Unlike the more common Zaire strain, this Bundibugyo strain presents a unique challenge because there is currently no licensed vaccine or specific antiviral treatment available for it.
The early symptoms heavily mimic common regional illnesses like severe malaria, typhoid, or Lassa fever, early detection through strict public vigilance is absolutely critical.

Symptoms to Monitor:
Watch for an abrupt onset of:
High fever and severe headaches.
Muscle aches and extreme body weakness.
Gastrointestinal distress, including severe vomiting & watery diarrhea.
Unexplained bleeding or bruising from bodily orifices (in advanced stages)

Preventive Action:

Ebola is not airborne; it spreads through direct contact with the blood, secretions, or bodily fluids of an infected person or contaminated surfaces.
Protect yourself and your community with these measures:
Practice rigorous hand hygiene by washing with soap and running water or using alcohol-based sanitizers.
Avoid direct physical contact with anyone showing unexplained fever or hemorrhagic symptoms.
Ensure meat is thoroughly cooked before consumption, and completely avoid handling bushmeat.
Report early symptoms to local health authorities immediately rather than self-medicating, as rapid isolation saves lives.

TGIF!

Do you have Common Cold or Flu? 🀧

The common cold and the flu may seem similar initially, they’re both respiratory illnesses and can cause similar symptoms. But different viruses cause these two conditions.

The symptoms can help you tell the difference.

Both a cold and the flu share a few common symptoms such as:

πŸ“Œ sneezing
πŸ“Œ runny or stuffy nose
πŸ“Œ general fatigue
As a rule, flu symptoms are more severe than cold symptoms.

Another distinct difference between the two is how serious they can get. Colds rarely cause other health conditions or problems. But the flu can lead to:

πŸ“Œ sinusitis (infection of the sinuses around the face/
πŸ“Œ ear infections
πŸ“Œ pneumonia (infection of the lungs)
πŸ“Œ sepsis (widespread generalized infection)

If your symptoms are severe, you may want to confirm either a cold or flu diagnosis.
Your doctor will ask some questions and may run some tests that can help determine what’s the cause of the symptoms.

You may consult if you have any of these symptoms.

Happy New Year once again dear followers

Do you remember
Water helps the kidneys remove wastes from your blood in the form of urine.
Water also helps keep your blood vessels open so that blood can travel freely to your kidneys, and deliver essential nutrients to them.

But if you become dehydrated, then it is more difficult for this delivery system to work efficiently
Dehydration can negatively affect different systems in your body and worsen your health over time.

Drink at least 2-3 liters of water per day

Stay hydrated.

Wishing you a healthy year ahead.
