A lazy eye, also known as amblyopia, can happen to people who have 20/20 vision in one or both eyes. Vision tests like 20/20 only measure how small of a letter you can read on a chart from far away.
They do not show how well your brain works with both eyes together.
*You can see clearly and still have a lazy eye.
*The problem is how the brain and the eye talk to each other.
*It can affect one eye or, rarely, both eyes.
*It often starts in babies or young kids.
