Do you work out alone or you have a fitness buddy?
Which ever way you do it, always remember that fitness is more than losing weight alone, its more of total wellbeing.

Hello Fam!!!!
I hope the weekend was great and our week has been going well too.

I received a question from a client over the weekend wanting the know the vitamins/supplements that are ideal for women during the perimenopause and menopause phase.
I decided to share this also with my Facebook fam. Ensure to include these vitamins in your daily nutrients and see the amazing transformation in your body.
Now I advise you get them in the raw form. You don’t have to break the bank to get these nutrients, start with locally sourced ones.....

See you on the next one......

Hi Fam and happy weekend.....
How was your work out session this morning? Every saturday i ensure to walk at least 4km aside the ones I do during the week as my schedule permits.
You can also do it. Start at your own pace and gradually increase the distance and time. I started doing a 30mins walk, now I can go for over 1hr and still get going. Remember, keeping fit is not just about weight loss only, its about your total well being......

Do enjoy the rest of your weekend.....

Managing Brain Fog & Forgetfulness During Perimenopause and Menopause

Good morning Fam!!!

Have you ever walked into a room and suddenly forgotten why you went there?
Or struggled to remember a name, appointment, or where you kept your phone?
If this has been happening more often, please know this: you are not losing your mind. 😊
Many women experience brain fog and forgetfulness during perimenopause and menopause, and it is a very common and temporary phase.

Let’s talk about why it happens and how we can manage it.
What Is “Brain Fog” in Menopause?
Brain fog is not a medical disease. It simply describes mental symptoms such as:
• Forgetfulness
• Difficulty concentrating
• Trouble finding the right words
• Mental fatigue
• Feeling mentally slower than usual
Hormonal fluctuations—especially declining estrogen—can affect the brain areas responsible for memory, focus, and processing information.
Other menopause symptoms can also make it worse:
• Poor sleep
• Stress or anxiety
• Night sweats
• Fatigue
The good news is that there are practical ways to manage it.

Tips to Manage Brain Fog
1️⃣ Prioritize Good Sleep
Sleep is essential for memory and mental clarity.
Try to:
• Keep a consistent bedtime
• Reduce caffeine in the evening
• Keep the bedroom cool and comfortable
• Avoid screens before bed
Quality sleep helps the brain reset and consolidate memory.

2️⃣ Stay Physically Active
Exercise improves blood flow to the brain and boosts mood.
Good options include:
• Walking
• Dancing
• Yoga
• Light strength training
Even 30 minutes of movement daily can improve mental sharpness.

3️⃣ Feed Your Brain Well
Your brain needs good fuel.
Include foods like:
🥑 Healthy fats (avocado, nuts, olive oil)
🐟 Omega-3 foods (fish, walnuts)
🥬 Leafy greens
🍓 Fruits rich in antioxidants
💧 Plenty of water
Try to reduce excess sugar and processed foods which can worsen fatigue.

4️⃣ Reduce Mental Overload
Many women juggle work, family, and responsibilities. When the brain is overwhelmed, memory suffers.
Helpful strategies:
• Write things down
• Use reminders on your phone
• Keep a small notebook
• Create daily to-do lists
External reminders are not weakness—they are smart brain support.

5️⃣ Train Your Brain
Just like the body, the brain benefits from exercise.
Try:
* Puzzles
* Reading
* Word games
* Learning a new skill or hobby
These activities help keep the brain active and adaptable.

6️⃣ Manage Stress
Stress hormones can worsen forgetfulness.
Simple calming practices include:
Deep breathing exercise
Try this now:
Inhale slowly through your nose for 4 seconds
Hold for 4 seconds
Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 seconds
Repeat for 1–2 minutes.
You may feel calmer and more focused afterward.

Reflection Question for Today:
What is one thing you do when you forget something or feel mentally overwhelmed?
Your experience might help another woman. 💛

Please remember:
✨ Your brain is adapting to hormonal changes.
✨ Occasional forgetfulness does not define your intelligence.
✨ With good self-care, mental clarity often improves.
Be patient and kind to yourself during this transition.

Affirmations for Mental Clarity
Repeat these to yourself today:
• My mind is capable and resilient.
• I give myself grace as my body changes.
• I support my brain with rest, nourishment, and calm.
• I am strong, wise, and still growing.
