Day 26: Choosing Faithfulness Every Day
Scripture: Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Faithfulness is not only about the big things we do; it is also about how we handle the small things every day. In marriage, faithfulness means choosing your spouse again and again, not only when things are easy, but also when there are disagreements, disappointments, or difficult seasons.
Being faithful means keeping your promises, being honest, protecting your spouse’s heart, respecting your boundaries, refusing to give room to anyone or anything that could threaten your marriage. It means being trustworthy when your spouse is watching and when nobody is watching.
Luke 16:10 reminds us that a person who is faithful in little things will also be faithful in much. The little choices matter: the messages you send, the conversations you entertain, the secrets you keep, the way you speak about your spouse, and the decisions you make when temptation comes.
Every day, we have an opportunity to choose faithfulness. Choose your spouse. Choose honesty. Choose commitment. Choose to protect the friendship and covenant you share. A strong marriage is built through many small, faithful choices made consistently.
