NAF Intensifies Aerial Search as Efforts to Rescue Abducted Oyo Pupils, Teachers Continue

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has sustained aerial surveillance operations in support of ongoing efforts to rescue teachers and pupils abducted from Yawota and Ahoro-Esinle communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by the representative of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Sunday Kelvin Aneke, and the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command, Abubakar Suleh, on June 5, 2026.

According to a statement issued by NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the air component remains actively engaged in surveillance and intelligence-gathering missions to support security agencies working to secure the safe release of the victims.
