'28 years ago, my world came crashing down. I lost my wife during childbirth, a moment that changed my life forever. On that fateful evening, her water broke. She was in severe labor when I rushed her to the hospital.

2 hours later, the doctors asked me to sign for an emergency C-section because the baby’s heart rate was dropping & she was in distress. My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, but tragically, she did not make it. ​Heartbroken, I vowed never to marry again. I didn't want a stepmother to enter our lives & treat my child poorly. For 4 years, I stayed single, focusing entirely on my daughter. My only wish was to be a good father and raise her to be a smart, strong woman.

​However, after much pressure from my family, I decided to give marriage a second thought. That was when I met a wonderful woman who stepped into our lives and brought back our smiles. ​For 24 years, I have watched her raise my daughter with so much love treating her exactly like her own biological daughter, even after we had our twin boys. A year after our marriage. Never once did she discriminate between the children. Today, my daughter is so attached to her step-mom, and their bond is unbreakable.

​Today is a day of great pride. Our daughter is graduating as an Engineer with the best results in her department and has received a full scholarship to study and work in the UK.
